General June 11th, 2007It’s Elementary is a show about technology in the elementary classroom. This show will address the specific concerns and solutions in K-6 classroom. Our first show will (hopefully) be on Monday July 9, 2007 @ 4 p.m.PDT/5 MDT/6 CDT/7 EDT.
We are looking for examples of blogging in elementary schools. You can contribute links at our Diigo group, it’s elementary.

I will be looking forward to your show. I hope you have several examples. Sorry to say no-one except myself blogs or uses wiki’s in our school. Most of that type of tech use is blocked. We aren’t allowed to use sound or video (its un-educational). However, I have one set up that I use as a virtual classroom for 6th-8th grades. I have my students respond to each others writing, work on story boards, ask for instructional help, (especially if they are home sick or on vacation), turn in work etc.. I am always looking for new ways to incorporate the blog and wiki. Check it out if you have time. I really enjoy learning from you.

Merle, I’m still puzzling how video and sound are uneducational? What about instructional videos? You’ve done a lot with this considering the limitations.
